YOGA AND COSMOENERGY

Many people, who live and work in London, often ask me about the compatibility of the method of Cosmoenergy with Yoga. Due to the frequently asked questions on this topic, I suggest that in this article, you can get acquainted with some materials devoted to yogic practices. Also, I will provide you with an analysis of these two methods from the standpoint of energy knowledge.

Asanas of Yoga or the static poses of perfection:

Asana – a pose that gives you stability, health and mobility. This is the perfect firmness of the body and steadiness of the mind.

The practice of asana stretches the body and lengthens the muscles and ligaments. This is – an upward movement, aspiration and a gradual development, and an external and internal growth. The practice of asana creates a space in the body and relieves/frees chest, joints and internal organs. This is the movement from the center to the sides, which is accompanied with the disclosure and expansion in the body and in the consciousness. The practice of asana strengthens the body using the static load. This is the stillness and stability, which means the stability in the body and the mental/soul fortress. The movement ‘inside’ is able to relax the body and relieve the muscle spasms, as well as release the tension inside the body. This is peace and calmness in the body and in the mind. For an East person, who is practicing yoga, - it is the norm of life.

In the East, asanas have been developed and perfected over the centuries, in order to be able to make an impact on every muscle, nerve and gland of the body. During the execution of asanas a yogi’s body takes many forms resembling various creatures and objects. The mind of the yogi is trained in the way that he/she does not despise any creature; because they know that in the whole range of creations in the World - from the lowest insect to the wisest man – there is the same Universal spirit that can take countless forms. A yogi knows that the highest form - is formlessness, so a yogi finds unity in universality.

The main Asanas of Yoga that promote spiritual development:

It is appeared that some asanas are related to each other in terms of their effect on the body and the technique of execution. Therefore, all the asanas can be divided into several groups.

Standing poses and the balancing of the energy system

Standing poses prepare the body and brain to the further development. These poses give strength and endurance, develop flexibility in the joints and stretch the body. They, also, help maintain the overall balance in the body, and gradually develop the physical and mental flexibility.

The hardness and strength in the legs are the foundation for movement and action. Without a firm foundation of legs and feet, the brain, which is the seat of the mind (reason), cannot be in the correct position in relation to the spine. Therefore, the standing poses of yoga should be learned first.

Sitting poses and restorative poses

These poses teach us to sit straight, keeping the spine in a stretched condition, as well as, the chest – opened, and the head and neck – calm. Many sitting poses ‘open’ the hip and shoulder joints, accelerate the process of digestion and tone the pelvic organs.

These poses are good for meditation. Calmness in the eyes and the brain and relaxed face (and face skin), mouth and nose, along with the stable position of the body and smooth breathing – are able to make your mind clear and stable.

A pose ‘stretching forward’ can intensively stretch and strengthen the muscles of the back of the legs and back. These poses are useful for the digestive system, liver, kidneys, spleen, and pelvic organs. ‘Stretching forward’ poses are cooling poses. They allow brain to rest, and also, they relieve fatigue and increased nervousness. They help with hypertension and elevated temperature.

Asanas: backbends

They strengthen the immune system and improve your posture. These asanas rejuvenate the spine, and develop physical strength, vitality and freedom of movement. They are ideal for those who suffer from spinal pain, rheumatism, stoop, and who has a dorsal hump.

Backbends ‘open’ the chest, improve breathing, tone the abdominal organs and glands of internal secretion, stimulate the nervous system and relieve lethargy and apathy. This is warming up and invigorating poses.

‘Boat’ poses

In these positions the human body takes the shape of a boat. ‘Boat’ poses are aimed at strengthening the muscles of back, abdomen and legs, and also, they develop a sense of balance. They are useful in cases of flatulence and gastric diseases.  Also, these poses reduce the body fat and tone the kidneys.

Twisting poses

They stretch, relax and twist the muscles of the back, as well as, tone the abdominal organs, reduce the volume of the stomach and strengthen the stomach/abdomen.
These poses (asanas of Yoga) ‘teach’ the spine how to do the lateral stretching with twisting (like a washing machine), in order to ‘squeeze’ out the internal stresses from the back/spine, which is accumulated there during the years of life.

Twisting poses relieve a sense of apathy, help with depression and nervousness, and contribute to the development of internal flexibility and wisdom. No wonder that many poses with twisting of the spine are dedicated to the ancient sages – Rishi.

Inverted poses

In these poses the pelvis is positioned above the head. These are the most useful asanas that influence on the maximum number of organs, glands and cells of the body. The ‘stand on the shoulders’ is called the mother of all asanas, and the ‘stand on the head’ – the father of all asanas. Inverted poses carefully strengthen and stretch the whole body, while improving the work of the digestive and excretory systems. These poses, also, provide the following effects: stabilize the endocrine system (especially the thyroid and parathyroid glands), strengthen the immune system, give the rest to the heart and brain, calm the nervous system, relieve fatigue and overexcitement, energize and refresh, give inner strength and confidence and eliminate the fear complex.

Asana - is truly irreplaceable source of vitality and development of the energy system.

As you can see, it is recommended to practice Yoga, and even necessary, in order to keep the physical body in good condition. If you practice Yoga regularly, then it leads to the strengthening of the etheric body, which enhances the immunity of the human, so, it increases the resistance of the body to the penetration of different viruses and bacteria. However, it is also necessary to understand that yoga in the East and yoga in the West are very different in terms of its spiritual content. In the East  - yoga is a way of life, but in the West (for the vast majority of people who practice yoga) – yoga is a hobby, a tribute to fashion, or simply an attempt to get away from the monotony of life and stress.

Also, people who are practicing yoga must understand that yoga does not solve the problem of the energo-informational lesions/affections, and also, it cannot provide you with the cosmic energy protection, and it does not contribute to the accelerated gaining of energy potential and the development of consciousness. Nevertheless, the combined use of these two techniques (Yoga and Cosmoenergy) gives the excellent result, significantly accelerating the evolution of the person-practitioner. We advice our students to give this information to their patients, while explaining to them that the Yoga (or a meditation) itself is not able to solve the problems of a patient, but the complex/combined use of these techniques is able to take a person out of the vicious/closed circle.
